What were the needs of the project?

The requirement was to adapt the English content of the Lumen app to Spanish, as well as providing name proposals for the app in Spanish, together with their justification.

What were the challenges?‍

The app was created for terminally ill cancer patients so, as well as needing an excellent understanding of Spanish for the content to sound natural and uncomplicated, a deep understanding and sensibility towards tone was imperative, due to the app’s users’ circumstances.

How did I approach the project?

The content had already been created in English, so I approached the project aiming at fully understanding both the company’s and the app’s users’ context and requirements. Extra care had to be taken to make the content in Spanish approachable, empathetic, encouraging and understanding.

What did I deliver?
The content was worked on in a Json file, using Visual Studio Code. The name proposals were written out, together with an analysis and conclusions, on a Word document.
